What, if anything, is to be gained by President Bush debating the president of Iran or any other muslim nation that has made it plain they hate and detest us? It's not like they're both running for the presidency of the USA, which is usually the only time a US president debates anyone.

The question isn't "what is he afraid of" the question is "why should he". The whole entire friggn world knows the president of Iran is wrong and should be held accountable. I don't understand why George Bush would debate him. The only confrontation they should have is Bush's boot going up Iran's ***.

I certainly don't want him debating Iran's president. Why do we need a debate in the first place?
The Iranian president is a nut-job...sure's he's articulate and intelligent...but he's a nut-job.

1. INTELLIGENT DEBATE. (Bush is no match for an intelligent leader.)
2. The disclosure that the US supplied materials for Iran's nuclear capability, especially Halliburton.

Courage like that is rare in politics because there is nothing to gain by it and much to lose politically. I think Reagan had that kind of intestinal fortitude but few if any in American politics today do.
