Depends if you dont have a lot of time a cat is best. For good health they only need 15 minutes of you time a day devoted to play or grooming. Of course they love more then that.

If you have a lot of time and like to walk , jog , bike and things like that a dog is best cause you can take him with you. Just make sure you research the breed you want and make sure they are compatible with you. Or even better pick your new friend up from the pound. Pound pets are the best.

it depends on what your looking for in your pet. Do you want something that love able and hug able like a dog or something that love able but not so much hug able like a cat. Need a watch dog or a furry friend. Cats some times aren't the best thing because they get mad easily.

They both make great pets for different reasons. I have always tried to have both. For the most part, a cat makes a better inside pet and can be left for longer periods, alone, without severe negative results.

It all depends on the person. If you like animals that are loyal and love to play then it would be a dog. If you are layed back and don't like messing with your pet to much even though you want one a cat is for you. Like I said, it all depends on the persons personality.

If you are an outdoor person and you like to exercise, you need to get a dog. If you are a couch potato, them you get a cat. cause cats can spend their whole life indoors.

cats never need to go outside and can be litterbox trained in one minute. dogs are friendly and sweet but you have to pick up their droppings out of your yard or follow them around outdoors with a bag to get it.......in the rain and snow and cold. cats use the indoor litterbox and you can scoop it out any time of day in the comfort of your home.........yeah, i'm a cat person
