Okay - If you are trying to use sex as a way to 'get things movin' when you are full term (I am 39 wks) I know his semen inside of you helps soften the cervix & orgasm can start contractions... BUT is there a position that is better than another for achieving all of this?? Or is it a 'whatever works' type of thing??? Thanks!

The best answer I know for that is on all fours, or with you laying on the edge of the bed and him standing. The trick is you really don't want to put pressure on your baby. Of course, that's just what I know from all of my sisters' pregnancies. As always, the best person to ask would be your ob/gyn. She/He will have all the answers to such a question and can probably provide you with various tips.

Rear entry is the most practical position for both of you, and it has deepest penetration, which should assure a good shot at the target.
