All of these people would still be alive and the American People would still be living in what they assumed was a safe world.
I believe that the people behind this really gave us a wake-up call about Homeland Security etc.
We really never thought about it like we do now. Those terrorist were here we just never new how close or powerful until 911.
Hopefully we will all pull together and remember we live in the Land of the Brave and the Home of the Free!!!

Do you realize that 9/11 was just one of MANY terrorist attacks against American interests since the 90's? Some people like to think that 9/11 started the war on terror when in reality the war was already waging, just America was sleeping to it. The USS Cole, The Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia, the Kenya and the Tanzania embassy attacks, the 1st WTC bombing in 1993, the army barracks bombed by Hezbollah in the 80's...the list can go on and on. 9/11 may have happened on 8/30 or 4/28, or any other date, but what matters is that a terror strike of that magnitude was inevitible.

There would not have been a fake search for bin Laden, Sadaam would still be in power but not if the war with Iran was over and this country would be busy figuring out which country was next on it's list. The Gulf Coast would still look like it did a year ago. Gotta support the war effort you know.

All the troops that died in Iraq would still be alive. Although its probable that the fool would have found some way and some excuse to invade Iraq.

I think the Bush administration would have still found an excuse to go to war with Iraq. It's not like Saddam Hussein had anything to do with Al Qaeda or September 11th anyway.

Bush would have been on vacation still, the deficit would be trillions lower, Halliburton stocks would be cheaper, and about 6,000 Americans including soldiers would be at home enjoying the football season instead of dead. Congress would probably have some power instead of being a rubber stamp.

If 9/11 had never happened, Bush's administration would have imploded in his first term and we'd have a different president now.

No real offense meant, to you or others who answer, but "what If" questions are inane,,,at least for those who live in a very real, often frightening, and disssapoint world.
Why ask what if anyway. The more important questions and thoughts should be,,OK it happened, NOW WHAT? Drop the IF!
