Patriot's Day is a Boston (and surrounding area) holiday that is celebrated in April (to whatever degree its celebrated). There are a few events, and there are some Revolutionary War re-enactments in the Lexington/Concord area of Massachusetts.

Tomorrow is the fifth anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and the aborted flight that was to attack Washington.

Americans are not "celebrating" it. They are remembering it because it is a customer to acknowledge anniversaries of important things and because so many people were affected by this event.

Because you said you are not American and in case you don't already know the other patriotic holidays they are: Memorial Day at the end of May to remember soldiers who died fighting in wars, but also sometimes to remember everyone who is no longer here. Fourth of July/Independence Day, celebrating the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Veteran's Day, a day to remember (as the name implies) veterans (those who have fought and been injured or killed in wars and veterans in general sometimes.

We are remembering the horrible tragedies on Sept. 11, where Al Quaida suicide bombers forced planes to fly over the twin towers in New York City, the Pentagon, and attempted to fly into the white house. We are remembering our dead and those from other countries. This is more of a memorial day than a Patriots day. Hope this helps you to understand. It was a very dark day in the history of the world.

On September 11, 2001, Flight 93 has been hijacked, and crashed into The World Trade Center, or The Twin Towers. Over 2,000 people lost their lives on that fateful day. Tommorow we are honering and remembering all who were killed.

There is no such holiday as Patriot's Day in the US.

Tomorrow is September 11th. It isn't a holiday, but it is the 5th year anniversary of the attack on the World Trade Center in New York.

I don't know anyone who is celebrating. But there will be millions of people mourning the death of thousands who lost their lives to a mad man and his minions.
