Just because somebody is a Muslim doesn't mean they are at war with the West. Let's face it Iraq is about oil and so is Afghanistan. I would be more worried about the fact that you put these people in power. The Taliban was US funded when Afghanistan was at war against the Russians, also the US supported and funded Saddam when he was at war with the Iranians. You will notice they were our friends until the fall of Communist Russia, then we did not need these countries to fight our 'Cold War'.
So we the West have created this problem and because they happen to be Muslim countries do not make out that all Muslims are bad Muslims. that is just not the case.

Dumb question, no. Ignorant position, yes.
Its easy to be contemptuous and contentious toward others, but, what are you actually doing to make the world or even your local community a better place to live? Are you actively taking a role in political decision making, supporting relief efforts, volunteering at local homeless shelters or youth activities centers? Do you campaign for political leaders with an agenda for peace and moral correctness. Do you support your local law enforcement efforts by turning in criminals? Maybe you already do all of it, I don't know. I hope there is more to your character than an acid tongue.
