Sure, I remember them.
The Sweet was pretty much a one-hit wonder (I'm thinking of "Little Willie", which rocked), but T Rex had more depth, and I'd say they're worth a listen.
If you're interested in old dinosaur bands (wink!), see if you like the James Gang (their first album, "James Gang Rides Again", continues to be an influence on current bands).

G'day Paula,
Thanks for your question. You reminded me of my long lost youth. In summary, yes if you like glam rock. They were singles bands especially the Sweet so a greatest hits package is your best bet.
T-Rex was an English rock band fronted by Marc Bolan. It was founded in 1960s London and found success as a 1970s glam rock group. Their best period was around 1970-72. Tracks to download: "Ride a White Swan" , "Hot Love" , "Get It On:Bang a Gong", "Jeepster", "Telegram Sam", "Metal Guru" and "Children of the Revolution".
Sweet (referred to as The Sweet on albums before 1974 and singles before 1975) were a popular 1970s English band.
Although Sweet were largely known for their glam rock image, and several hit singles - many of them being so-called teenage anthems - they also released several albums throughout a ten year career. Their best period was 1972 to 1976. Tracks to download: "Little Willy", "Wig Wam Bam" "Ballroom Blitz" "Peppermint Twist", "Fox on the Run", "Action" and "Love is Like Oxygen".
I have attached sources for your reference.
Regards

Check out Buick Makane by T.rex. Guns N Roses covered it for the Spaghetti Incident? album, and add Soundgarden's Big Dumb Sex and the end of it.

Bang a Gong (Get it On) is the only song I have ever heard by T.Rex. It was from the 70's I think.
