They go all the way to National Finals, high schools and colleges, that is a sport in my book! Competition and competitive just like all sports!

People in Yoga do a lot of stunts too, but that's not a sport. It's painful to type a lot and go to the dentist but those aren't sports either.

Get over yourself! Cheerleading is NOT a sport. Please don't use yall! You must be in the south where you guys think cheerleading is a religion and it's o.k. to put 5 year old girls in beauty pagents.

Spelling bee's also go to state and national finals but I don't think that's a sport either.

Well, if you are in cheerleading competitions, I would consider it a sport---if gymnastics is a sport, then competitive cheerleading is.

Bring it on!

Oh It's already been a broughtin!

sorry, movie quoting again... anyway, if you aren't competing, it may not be a sport, but you guys are still atheletes/athletic, so whats the difference?

I think it's not a sport, it's a sport-supporter.

well, let me clarify: if the cheerleading squad (or whaetver it's called) is competing, then it's a sport, but if they just cheer for the team and don't compete, then it's not a sport.

also, controtionists can put their feet behind their head, but it's not a sport, is it? I think saying they can do lots of stuff doesn't support the idea that's it's a sport.

Well, its athletic like tumbling...which is an Olympic event. I'd say could be, but I doubt many would agree. I doubt people would pay to go to a 'cheer off'.

Yes, it is a sport, and a very silly one.
