Rain:
precipitation of liquid water drops with diameters greater than 0.5 mm (0.02 inch). When the drops are smaller, the precipitation is usually called drizzle.
Dew:
deposit of waterdrops formed at night by the condensation of water vapour from the air onto the surfaces of objects freely exposed to the sky (see video).

Rain is formed of the particles of vapours, joining together, which, being joined, fall down to earth. The difference between Dew and Rain seems chiefly to be this, that Dew falls at some particular times, and in very small drops, so as to be seen, when it is down, but is scarce perceivable while falling; whereas Rain is grosser, and falls at any time.
Dew is water in the form of droplets that appears on thin, exposed objects in the morning or evening. As the exposed surface cools by radiating its heat to the sky, the rate at which atmospheric moisture evaporates from the surface drops below that at which it condenses on the surface from the air, so that droplets are formed.
Rain is a form of precipitation, other forms of which include snow, sleet, hail, and dew. Rain forms when separate drops of water fall to the Earth's surface from clouds. Not all rain reaches the surface, however; some evaporates while falling through dry air.

dew is formed by the natural condensation of moisture from the air or as moisture rises to the surface.. especially at night when the air is colder than the ground or surrounds where the dew forms .. rain is created when water vapour (not steam) conglomerates and becomes too heavy for the air pressure to sustain its natural levitation factor

dew is vapour in the atmosphere that condenses as the atmosphere cools. this occurs at the ground level. rain is formed by vapour that condenses in the upper atmosphere due to satiation due to increasing vapour, not decreasing temperature.
