If it is for the attic, then measure the square footage. Take the width times the length = square footage. Determine what R factor you want. i.e. R20, R30 ect...

You should check to see what a company will charge you to do the job . I just had a house stuck by lighting and had the attic insulated for $404 buck almost as cheap as I could by it from home depot .They buy in such bulk that it was not worth the $50 I was going to save doing it myself .

square footage of attic= length x width. make it deep as ucan the stuff [cellulose] is cheap & settles & pays 4 itself. in maine 18" deep aint bad. u can do it urself in good weather with an assistant, its fun!..........chirp!
