The method used to measure was devised and used by an eminent American professor. Google Sunday Times and read it yourself.

This has been going on for years. About five years ago they printed a list of the IQs of all the presidents for about the last fifty or sixty years and George W. scored a pretty paltry 91. It then turned out the thing was a hoax (Jimmy Carter was printed as having an IQ around the 175 mark).

I'm somewhat sceptical about the whole thing - like someone said, were they REALLY measuring presidents IQs back in George Washingtons day? Still, out of curiosity, what sort of figures did the Times say?

Unless G.W.Bush sat down and took an IQ test, there is no way to know what is IQ is from mere observation. Also, there are many people out there who theorize that IQ is not the only way to measure a person's intelligence, and that there are many kinds of intelligence. BTW, you sure Andrew Jackson had a higher IQ than Bush? THAT man was a bad president if there ever was one, just ask all the Cherokees that he forced on their "Trail of Tears"

I am not surprised at all. I am surprised that he doesn't hold the record for cowardice! This little chickenhawk president is real eager to send our sons and daughters to war.... but not his. He didn't even have the nerve to serve in the real military during Viet Nam! (You can say different all you want, but I was there during the Viet Nam conflict and I know for a fact, cowards and richkids hid out in the Air Guard). I went to school with a ton of richkids and those who were too stupid to hide out in college hid out in the guard.

surely and heritage will back this up. one hundred years from now, each body is going to ask your self how someone like Bush replaced into elected. A puppet of Rove & Chaney who couldn't even communicate perfect English. Shameful.

I do not believe that for a minute. Where did these facts come from?? If they are from a newspaper reporter or news person I imagine they are unfounded. He is still our president and represents the United States of America.
This is very disrespectful and another Political Joke and we have
enough of those already! How did they get the I.Q test results of George Washington etc. ? No such thing during that era I am sure!!

About a third of the presidents served before intelligence quotients were invented, much less defined.

You'll have to be a bit more specific than that--do you cite your school papers that way? Sunday Times (which Times?) also has comic strips.
