airplane, oh--say flight 93. You're taken over by hi-jackers and headed to kill hundreds of innocents. You manage to get a direct line to the president. Would you tell him to shoot the plane down or would you allow hundreds more to perish with you? Remember--you're gonna die anyway.

Failsafe. An excellent movie that raced thru my mind too that morning. That plane would have to be shot down. Just like the others that were headed for their ill-fated destinations that morning but were not intercepted or shot down because I am now starting to believe, Cheney was in command of the skies that morning and things got out of hand! As for the cell phones being used for the passengers to call their loved ones--I hope that really did happen for their sake--that the FAA somehow opened the "airwaves" or whatever satellite stuff that would allow them to use their cell phone from an airplane. Again, I beg, somebody slap me.

I would have told him to get off his butt and put the "kiddie book" down and start acting like a president instead of some kid with a duncecap on.
As far as shooting the plane, down.... you know the answer, those brave Americans on the flight that was designated to hit the White House have answered it for you. You shouldn't have had to ask.
I would sincerely appreciate it if you don't report me for using the word "butt".

I guess you've watched too much 24. Seems like there was a plot like that on that TV show. Anyway, as dramatically fictional as your question is, my equally dramatic fictional answer is: Mr. president, shoot this plane down.

ur so intelligent ... show me one shred of proof that there were actuall any people on ANY of the planes then we will get back to ur ignorant question ... and btw its been proven that mobile calls from a plane at high altitude dont work so the phonecalls were faked. if you personally know of anyone who remotely knew any passenger on any of the planes let me know ... im confident i wont offend any "family" members by saying this because there are none .
