The horomone HCG usually is there regardless once the baby is fertilizied. For a pregnancy test to show up positive usually 2-4 weeks depending on your body. A baby's heartbeat is the most positive answer but that is not until 6 weeks after conception. Most the over the counter pregnancy tests are so accurate its safe to believe even a week after you had sex. But there is no specific definate date depends on a lot of things. I suggest getting hte book what to expect when your expecting.

It doesn't really have anything to do with how many days after intercourse...it's after ovulation. It needs to be about 14 days after ovulation or around the time your period is due.
