Wind...it keeps things moving outdoors. Indoors there is no wind, so dust settles undisturbed.

Look closer and you will see that things outside DO get dusty (unless perhaps it doesn't where there is no wind). All the stuff around here that is outside is dusty but there is usually wind blowing some time of another spreading the dust around.

Outdoor dust = pollutant particulates, silicates (really super fine grains of sand), etc.
Indoor dust = mostly human skin flakes and dust mite feces.
As everyone says, in most parts of the country there is lots of outdoor dust, but perhaps what your noticing is the difference in compositions between the dust indoors and outdoors.

You have more humidity outside so therefore they get dirty The moisture turns the dust to dirt. Wash whatever off--it is dirty.

do you live in a bubble, or a cleanroom? wtf? i live in the country and im surprised if things arent dusty.. you need to get out and away from your computer more often..
put the joystick down, and go outside and play!!

Because wind blows dust away. But not on all things. (patio furniture, eaves, window sills, etc.)
