An 'advantage' is something which is to your benefit and doesn't relate to the position from which you write about your subject, though another word for 'point of view' might be 'vantage point' (note: no 'ad-'!)

2. The correct word is 'hook' (just as a fisherman uses a hook to catch a fish.) 'Point of view' we discussed above. 'Card' has nothing to do with writing (as far as I know) and the 'summary' is similar to the 'plan' or 'outline of ideas' except that it usually comes at the end of the essay.
