I have tried reconnecting it to the computer and it still remains as if turned off. the computer doesnt seem to recognize it either. The ipod is 2 wks old but since it was purchased in Holland , theres is no warranty. HELP!

First, check to see if the Hold button on the top of it is turned on. If it is, all buttons and controls are locked. You need to slide it over to unlock it and press any button to turn the nano on.

If that doesn't work, try to reset it by sliding the Hold button over to the lock position and then sliding it back again to unlock it. Now hold down both the Play/Pause button and the center Select button to see if the Apple logo appears in the window, and then release both buttons when (if) it does appear.

If this doesn't work, you probably were sold a defective battery. Try plugging the nano into the wall with that connector cord (the AC power adapter) to see if that works.

Bummer about the no warrenty! Been there, done that. If you end up thinking it is the battery and not the whole unit, you can order a replacement battery from Apple or check pricing for the same battery by going to www.PDASmart.com or www.iPodResQ.com. Good luck!
