Large root used for storage of Nutrients and sometimes conversion of nutrients to be released back into the soil. Potatoes ,Yams ,and Ginger are examples of Tubers.

A Plant tuber (is similar to a plant bulb) tubers/bulbs are planted in the soil when in time the plants will start to shoot and flower.
