try a light rubbing compound. then wax the car. sap comes off easier when car is waxed. turtlewax is cheap and good.

Paint thinner. But wipe the car with a soapy rag and water immediately after.

Home depot and wal-mart sell a product called Goo-Gone and it took road tar off my Tail pipes....I am willing to bet it'll take off tree sap !

Avon Skin So Soft. See your local Avon lady. This stuff is used to soften skin, but it'll even take tar off your car.

i have the same problem and have tried just about everything.DO NOT use brake cleaner or paint thinner unless you want to pay for a new paint job.i'm going to keep trying different products.
