car pulling sucks for the person that's taking you is always pissed
i dont think it's fair that my sister got a car at 16 (shes 19 now)
my parents told me to work for my own...does anyone else think thats messed up?

(yes ive tried to talk to them but they simply ignore me and keep spending money on remodeling our house (it really doesnt need it) and buying new grass for the other ones not green enough)

Okay, first the car thing. I can understand how it is unfair...but, what you have to realize is that younger siblings get alot more freedom then their older siblings in some aspects...so by your older sister getting a car and you not maybe somehow it is balancing out. I know that doesn't make you feel any better now, but maybe later your sister will need help at the same time you will and since she got the car you will recieve what you need at that time. You only have a few tokens of help from your parents in life...it is wise not to use them on foolish things. Next the parents and the house...your parents have lived a long time waiting to do something for themselves, now that you are old enough to get a job and your sister is...it is time for them again. Even though the house may not need fixing, to them it is a gift that they needed to give themselves.

About the car, trust me, there are many ways that you can get to a job without having a car...I've used them all. There are buses, there are cabs, if you live in the country there are four wheelers and horses...and yes, I said i've used them all. Not only that but work where one of your friends works...if they have a ride, I know they will give you one, employers are typically okay with scheduling teens around rides. If that doesn't work make a presentation to your parents. The importance of sharing my sister's car... this way you can make them feel guilty about not getting you a car and you can get back at your big sis at the same time. This way she has to let you use the car or she has to drive you to your destination, because without a job you can't get money to get a car...and without a car you can't have a job...that pitch typically works on parents. Good luck!

Find something in walking distance! Once you get enough money built up you will be able to get a car. Try babysitting and little things like that to help as well!! Good Luck!
