What about the green beans...they are still producing even after 2 months of doing so.

It depends on the kind of squash. Summer squash don't tolerate cold too well. Winter squash are OK with some mild frosts, but you want to get them out before a hard freeze hits.

I believe that green beans also don't tolerate cold temperatures too well. Pick what you can, then wait and see.

If there is a frost warning I would try to cover everything that's left in the garden,Why take a chance you worked hard all summer to just let it go.

I'd cover them to be safe. Where are YOU??? It's still hotter than hades in TX. HATE it.
