Studying is vague? What the hell do you want to hear? Go buy a book on psychic powers? Don't take a greater class load than you can handle is another one. Don't be involved in more than one after school activity at a time.

If you are in High School, who cares if you get straight As? Unless you are the Valedictorian, it just doesn't matter. Get good enough grades to get in the college of your choice. Other than the Valedictorian, NO ONE will ever care what grades you get in High School, unless you fail to graduate.

well, do all of your homework including any chance of extra-credit offered. get extra help on the internet websites or from smart friends you got. pay close attention in class to what the teacher says and maybe even take notes. study every night. read captions and subtext, know the bold words and main ideas. if you're really stumped, ask the teacher directly. you have to be willing to spend as much time as possible to get that A. trust me i have straight A's ever since middle school and i just started sophmore year in high school. the basics are pay attention, take notes, do homework, and study as much as possible. don't overwork yourself, take breaks every few hours and eat a good snack to recharge. you have to be willing to sacrifice things to get good grades. practice a lot too, whatever you do, do not get behind. if you don't understand something, don't be afraid to ask. if you get behind, it will be very hard to catch up again. do lots of extra-credit too for cushion.

Dear Allan K
I have alot of As but not straight As.But I can share with you how to get them. You must not sit by friends when you work because they will distract you. Also you dont want to be one of those kids that are always talking bad about teachers because if they over hear then that can also affect your grade I also learned that from expierience. So if you want straight As then I suggest that you be good in school and dont misbehave around teachers!

hypnopaedia is one technique that medical and pharmacy students use, especially with difficult interactions and terminology being thrown at them all day. You need to record your lesson on tape, hear it again, and then when it's bedtime, you play the tape on loop, or self-rewind with a good 2 hours of your lessons. You could ask to record the instructor, or you can do it yourself (especially those items that will be on the test, or that you are having difficulty understanding). You will need those little earphones, and tape them into your ears...because they will fall out. Look it up on the net. There may be other techniques, but they say that you retain a lot more during sleep training.
