Because he doesn't really want to find Osama. Think about. If you find Osama, then for most Americans, the War on Terror is over. And that would be a bad thing for all the people making a gazillion dollars in the defense industry (paid for out yours and my taxes).

We found Saddam in a hole and we have found every other person we have gone after from Pontiac to Geronimo (except for DB Cooper).

When we really want to get serious, we'll find Osama. And hopefully we'll have a nice public hanging in NYC.

BECAUSE OSAMA BIN LADEN DIED IN DECEMBER 2001.

The news first came from sources in Afghanistan and Pakistan that the fugitive died in December [2001] and was buried in the mountains of southeast Afghanistan. Pakistan's president, Pervez Musharraf, echoed the information. The remnants of Osama's gang, however, have mostly stayed silent to keep Osama's ghost alive. And Bush keeps Osama alive because it serves his purpose to keep Americans afraid of him (so that they will vote for Republicans.)

The CIA's Bin Laden Investigation Unit disbanded because they know Osama is dead. It would be a waste of American resources to continue searching for a dead man.

(However, I recently heard that there is an intense search for Osama's body - which is an incredibly well-kept secret - and that Bush/Cheney are in hot pursuit of high-level al Qaeda members who might know where Osama is buried. They want to torture an al Qaeda member to get him to say where Osama's body is buried. If they find the body before the upcoming election, we will have a nice "October Surprise!")

Because Bush doesn't see him as a threat anymore. Which is funny, considering how often he drops his name.

To oklatom, yes, there was a unit set up by the Bush Administration that's sole purpose was to catch Bin Laden. A few months ago it was disbanded.

You don't know what you are talking about. There was no division that had that job as its sole function in the first place, and no division has been shut down by Bush.

Because he wants to go after Saddam so much that that completely consumes his time. He's always wanted revenge on Saddam. That's how stupid he is....Saddam had nothing to do with 9-11.

it never stopped, it just was never a real priority. If it was, we would still be in Afghanistan with like at least 60k troops, instead of in Iraq with 140k troops.
