I missed it! Ahhhkkk! But anyway, I heard he was calm and everything, but cried or something. Poor Tony...I'm a huge fan. Sadly I missed the interview...can somebody tell me what happened?

I'd love it if I didn't get any haters who want to bash Tony. Thanks.

Well needless to say i am a huge tony stewart fan and in every website you can think of from Nascar.com to FOX sport they are all giving him props on how he handled the situation. i think that interview should pretty much shut his haters mouth.

I thought Tony handled the interview extremely well I had hoped that no one would stick a camera in his face for fear of how he might react.Of course I knew they would be asking him how he felt about not making the chase which of course was like asking someone waking up from a coma if they had a good nap.But Tony really surprised me with his calmness and how polite he was he also congratulated the ten drivers who made the chase. There was definitely emotion in his voice but he DID NOT CRY but the disappointment was obvious in his voice and on his face.I don't know what has happened to the 20 team the last couple of months but I feel sure this will give them new determination for next year.Don't worry about Tony he's still the man and I feel sure next year he will be back with new determination to show just that.

I was at Richmond, and saw the interview live and he was fine. He knew his chances were slim after wrecking the car in practice and having to go to a back up car. He ended up qualifying 40th, but finished the race 18th. He really drove very well Saturday night and was fun to watch. He was very happy for the 10 that did make it, and I feel he will be helping his teammate Denny Hamlin as much as he can to try to win the championship. He really isn't the *** everyone want to make him out to be. And I am not a Tony fan - my driver is Kasey Kahne,

Even though I can't stand Tony, I have to give him credit for his interview. I was as impressed as I could ever be with his behavior. He was calm, respectful of the drivers who made the chase and whoever led you to believe he cried- he didn't. He looked like anyone else would, disappointed.

But, since Jeff fell FIVE places, if Tony had made it Jeff probably wouldn't have and then I would have cried!

He handled it well. I think he knew that his year was up and down all the way through and that ridin this close to the end of "maybe will" or "maybe won't" could mean different things. So he was prepared for either and really kept calm. I love Smoke, even when he does let off a little steam.

There was no stress or anger in his voice. I think I was more upset then he was. He handled it very well. I was really impressed with his attitude and calmness. Shows that he has a better attitude then most people perceived. I did not hear even a sniffle. He didn't seem upset. He smiled he was polite and courteous. I think whoever you heard that from wasn't a fan. And I think some people chose to hear what they want to hear...not reality. I remember a certain driver last year whining and complaining because they didn't make it. ....oh and he looked SOME GOOD, VERY GOOD.

He wasn't to happy to miss the chase by 16 points. He was calm sounded tired but this is the 1st time he is not going to be in the top 10 in points in his career.

I like Tony but I am begining to think he has the heart of a lion and the mind of a child he looked like a little kid that lost the ice cream off his cone. He is one hell of a stock car driver.

Tony was very calm little sad but happy that his teammate Hamlin made it in. He said that his car wasn't working at all sat night no matter what they did to fix it. I would have had him make it instead of that cry baby gordon.

Tony knew that the team was down for the past few months and the end results they all have to work harder.
