Check with your city hall. Usually it requires a majority of residents to petition, on the entire street how ever long it goes. There may be a way to get a dual name for your block only.

No Idea, I remember though that when the first Harry Potter film came out, my local council permitted the nearby radio station to change the name of one of the streets in town from Potter Street to Harry Potter Street for a few weeks, wierd thing is people didnt notice till it was mentioned in the news!

Is it a private owned street, then contact your homeowners association. Is it a city street? Contact the city. Is it a county road? Contact the county. See where this is going?
