well do you say weird things if not that it is all your imagination.
Show some confidence and make small talk it'll work out.

look i'm in middel school to and i know that it's hard to make friends but hang in there you'll make new friends it's the begining of the school year your not going to make new friends is one day I had the same proplem sit with some kids that are in your next class after lunch that's how I made friends. It mite work for you.

Your new to everyone right now,so it is hard just be yourself and be ploite to others and friends will see you for a nice guy and want to make you a friend.
