I have kept house rabbits for 8 years now, and found lots of information regarding rabbits through the Houe Rabbit Society. Rabbits lick when they are happy, it menas they like you and are sort of grooming you. Our 1st Rabbit named Mixie used to lick my husbands face all the time

your rabbit is liking salt off you. get him/her a salt lick from the pet shop. they are not dear to buy. lack of salt can cause skin problems.altho most foods have all the goodies in them nowdays sometimes you need to give alittle extra.it will probally take a while for your rabbit to use the lick but it will soon catch on.

if your rabbit is licking you when you pat him/her it means that your rabbit is enjoying the grooming and they want to return the favour. If your not patting them it could be that they're asking for a pat or they may be slightly salt/mineral deficent, you could try giving them a salt/mineral lick from the petshop if this is a problem but it's most likely a sign of affection.

Yes, she's 'kissing' you - bunnies lick to show affection, the same as dogs do ;-) Here's a great explanation -

That is the highest compliment a rabbit can give. It means they are grooming you because you are their pal.

It's returning the compliment. You're petting him. He'll pet you....
You probably taste quite nice too...
My Guinea Pigs do the same. I'm told it's something to do with salt in your sweat...
Don't let it worry you. It's rather sweet.
