Well, they will have officers online 24 hours a day searching in chat rooms and different websites. They can arrest them for soliciting child porn, viewing, dowloading or maintaining a website. Your Internet Service Provider also has a way of keeping track of every website you visit. Yahoo does keep track of where you visit - this is what "cookies" are used for on your computer. Pretty much anywhere and everywhere you go online there is a way to trace it. Does that help?

All your activity online is protocalled by your internet provider. That means if you visit such a site, your ip address is register at being on this site, and the internet provider has to keep records of which ip address is used by which user.
So when the cops search these sites and look at what ip addresses have been on these sites, they can trace them back to the internet providers, and therefore also to the user! This way they also track down ppl downloading pirated movies and songs!

The sites they go to have counters and most of those types of sites are fronts, they are not real. The real sites get closed down with regularity.
