My hunch is they are more easily duped into promoting a company's "celebrate diversity" program. Which is really not about hiring blacks or diversity at all. Its really about hiring a disproportionate numbers of Indians and Asian nationals instead of Americans.

Because those groups of people work for less money than Americans.

And before you scream racist, I've watched my company hire a disproportionate number of Indians. At least 50% of my building are contracted workers from India. This has happened over night.

And if you don't work for a large corporation, don't bother to answer. You really don't know what's going on. You college kids do want jobs when you get out of college, right?

Those are good points and no, it isn't racist. Its the facts and I wish people were smart enough to see such things. What's racist is having things like the NAACP. I'm Asian and this group won't help me. Why can't there be any such wider encompassing groups that help people in general? I'm not against the advancement of "colored people" ,but I am against the organizationally set aside foundations that only help a particular group. This only makes the lines of racism wider and more prevalent. When we can learn to accept people as people and nothing more this is when we will be able to overcome the tyranny that is racism.

You're a bigoted racist. Nothing you've said is true, especially not the unproven premise in your loaded question: that blacks are ALWAYS hired to be in charge of "diversity policies".

The only place anything can ALWAYS happen is in your mind - which is full of hatred and bigotry.

Now here's a suggestion that might help: since you talk in the language of a pundit, you're just parroting illogical nonsense told to you by some demagogue.

Try thinking for yourself instead of what your pundit tells you to think. It'll be a lot healthier for you than allowing yourself to be led around by the nose all the time.

Also, you'll look a little less stupid than the other people being pulled around that way.

UPDATE: If your company hired so many Indians, it's because they work better and cheaper than you do. If you actually believe it has anything to do with diversity and nothing to do with money, you're being incredibly naive.

It's free enterprise. You conservatives wanted it - now live with it.

I've worked for large companies, but none of them had blacks in HR. My current small company has a lot of Indians (approx 1/3), and my previous large company did, too. But they were mostly in the IT dept, or heavy computer knowledge areas. They seem to be very good in those areas, as well as in healthcare, where you've probably also noticed a phenomenal amount of doctors. Hmmm...come to think of it, my doctors for the past 10 yrs have been Indian! Even when I worked at AOL, many Indians and Asians worked the IT depts. I just don't think it's a black HR thing. I think the Indians & Asians may just have the skills and education that some companies are looking for.

Excuse me, answer dude - but, since when are black people not Americans? I'm black, and I could have SWORN I'm American.

Also, I take great offense to your "blacks are more easily duped" comment. You not only sound very racist, you sound bitter as well.

I think that you need to expand your companies. The corporation I work for do have white individuals in those positions. Secondly minorities are Americans too.
