Please don't take it! I know you're ready to get it over with, but let nature take it's course. It could be harmful to you and your baby if you do that. My daughter wanted to do the same thing, but we wouldn't let her. Just remember this, if your full term, IT WON"T BE LONG NOW. Be encouraged, God is with you now and forever!

If the newborn replaced into waiting to return out, it may come out on my own. needless to say the newborn isn't waiting if it rather is not popping out. Castor oil is quite risky. Any healthcare professional will inform you that. it rather is egocentric women which could no longer wait that decide directly to take castor oil. It basically can provide diarrhea. It additionally might reason your infant to have a bowel circulate in utero and that they might inhale that, inflicting severe respiration issues or maybe death. basically considering which you haven't any longer heard of a infant death from it does no longer mean it hasn't handed off. you do no longer sound too knowledgeable anywho so maximum folk does not anticipate lots extra coming from you. in case you have been caught at 4 to 5 cm and not progressing, the healthcare professional could surely do some thing to help, some thing secure for you and your infant. Castor oil is senseless.

Just don't.

This is stupid and dangerous.

IF it works, and most studies say it doesn't, it works because it gives you diarrhea, which makes you dehydrated. Dehydration can cause contractions, but usually Braxton-Hicks contractions. So, that sounds great, doesn't it? IF you actually go into labor, you'll have diarrhea and be dehydrated, and possibly already worn out from non-productive contractions. Not the way *I'd* want to start my birth experience. And if it doesn't work--the likely outcome--you'll still have the first three problems, with no baby!

It kills me that women who fuss over whether or not they should take Tylenol or any kind of cold medicine, or even drink tea or coffee, will take things entirely into their own hands, and against medical advice, at the ends of their pregnancies...

Just don't do it!

You don't.

Castor oil is only used to induce vomitting. It has the active ingrediant within the POISON ricin that was in the news a few years back.

I induced labor by having my husband take a day off work and we went at it over and over and over again. I went into labor that night.

Throw it out. There is no medically recognized use for the stuff. Do not take that, or any other medicine, without clearing it with your Ob/Gyn.

Don't take it. Have you tried having your membranes swept or lavender can help induce labour. Your baby will come when it is ready so I know its difficult to wait.
