"g-d"...that is to say, for some belief systems...the very act of "naming" god...is trying to put a human limitation to god...
whatever god is...it is not nameable, understandable, comprehensible, attainable by humans....
The word "ineffable" sidesteps that semantic problem by describing the godhead as.....something indescribable

What Gemelli2 said. Also known as YHWH, which most people pronounce "yahway" and spell "yahweh"; this is what the Hebrews called God, but because it was never spoken and in their language you don't write vowels, no one knows for sure how YHWH is actually pronounced.
