I'm with the Halifax plc who are not bad - where can I do better?

Spent 30 years with the RBOS until they lost a cheque that I ahd paid in, lied about it, and - 3 months later admitted it had been paid into he wrong account.
I can handle mistakes but don't like outright lies. On complaining I was offered £25 compensation for th time and trouble involved in proving them wrong - but no apology. So after decades of business I told them where to shove thier compensation and joined the Halifax - so far so good!

I reccommend Alliance and Leicester, Ive been with a few banks in the past and they are by far the best, good online banking too

im with rbos and i feel my statements give me all the information i need however i guess im bias as i work for them 2 and i agree that the service you rec'd is not of standard.

i could go into explanation as to why the took so long about ur chq but i dont know anythin about what happend.

its all about personal service and even as a memebr of staff ive had problems but even as staff my branch treat me with respect and like any other customer ( i dont work in the branch)

they have telephone banking which gives u a direct option to talk to an adviser ( which i am lol) ive been with em 3 years im happy with them

I have always been happy with the service from HSBC, but not suited to your categories:

1) I don't need Financial advice
2) I don't care if people smile or not
3) I can use technology with ease4

I get detailed online statements the interest is not a great need for me.

Royal Bank of Scotland have always been good to me, but I suppose it depends on who works at your local branch. I tend not to think about the interest on a current account, it's so measly anyway.
