1-2. the negatives cross eachother out.

14, 17

3-4. the absolute value of a number can only be positive.

7, 11

5. (4-7= -3) but that would be an absolute positive 3, but then there is a negative waiting for you outside the problem -3

6. again an absoulute can not be negative

33

This is easy stuff if your not getting this you might need to ask your parents to sign you up for tutoring.

give an "f" to the peson who answered for you--because without learning it you will still flunk the tests (who'd've thunk it!). and it probably took you longer to type it all in, looking alternately at the book and screen, as it would have to read that little blurb in the book that explains how do do it (which even has samples to show you...). want advice on how to go about solving it? sure--ask and i'll answer. but i will not make my world a worse place by encouraging people to be ignorant.! i'll take fries with that, please!
