I am raising crawdads in a 20 gall long aquarium.
1. What is the most appropriate plant to have with them?
2.What is the best food for them? I have been feeding them live meal worms but they stoped eating them, like they are tire of them.
I have tried frozen blood worms too but they seem to be getting uninterested also. Freeze dried biofex worms are uninteresting also. Guppies, minoes, and rosyes are too fast.

Make sure you use just common Iodine in your tank with them (I have had crayfish in the past, and they need this when they molt into their newer shells when they begin to grow).

As for plants - just make sure they is enough coverage in there for them to hide (one spot per cray).

Also - the reason they stopped eating is because you only need to feed them about once every 7 to 10 days (they do not eat daily and will eat more if you give them that much time between feedings).

They are funnier than heck to watch. If you put tall plastic plants in there - they will climb up them and jump off like it was a diving board or something.

I have fed them everything from Earth Worms to Meal Worms and even Guppies and Minnows as they got bigger.

Just remember - Iodine, 7 to 10 days between feeding - don't use live plants, but plastics (and make sure if you have a filter in there that you keep and eye out for an escapee every now and then, because they will make a break for it if given the opportunity).

My crayfish eats one to three shrimp pellets a day (the kind meant for catfish and bottom feeders).

My friend once raised a crayfish in a rain barrell, outside. It ate the algae, I think. But it survived, so he put another crayfish in the barrell and they bred.
