Without any doubt. Today "genius" seems to be rarer because science and research has become so much more specialized. Our knowledge has expanded at an exponential rate and so no single person can be the "complete scientist" in the way Davey and Faraday were. Although the results we obtain are just as important they are in such narrow fields that few people hear of them. In other areas other than science great minds are alive and well - try reading some modern poetry, looking at the work of new artists - you may not appreciate their work now, but remember van Gough only managed to sell one of his paintings while he was alive.

Not likely. There is still things to invent and discover but it seems like the majority of the younger generation is totally pocessed by Nitendo, computer games, drugs and sex. They are having a hard time moving into the world of reality. Many can't even carry on a understandable conversation. Note: Just take a look at some of the questions asked on Yahoo Answers. They don't make ANY sense, just a total lack of continuity. I really hope I am wrong but......................... Pops
