Honesty is the best way to go. Tell your mom you'll try to sell the baby's or give them to a local pet store. Don't touch the baby's this may make the mom eat them. The same thing happend to me when a friend hamster sat for me too. I guess she didn't realize that Charlie can be a girls name too. Good luck with the baby's!

Honesty is best lol (but that can be hard with parents). But also hamsters have a gestation period (pregnancy) of over a month so it can't have been your friend's fault, petshops and breeders often get the sexes wrong with hamsters and rabbits coz they're so small. You should definatly seperate the male though or you will soon have more babys and just let the mum take care of everything with the babys she should be fine.

well firstly you need to separate the hamsters to stop another pregnancy they go back into heat within a few days of having babies. second just tell yer mom this was in no way your fault it is very hard to tell the sex of a hamster
second let the babies grow obviously and call round your local pet store sometimes they will take the babies or amybe even buy them. failing that give them out as gifts and ty not to let your hamsters do it again.

Not your fault, is just nature taking its course. I'm sure your mum won't be angry, why would she be? If you now have too many to look after you can always sell them. Just make sure you now separate the dad from the babies, or he will eat them all. (Alternatively that might solve the issue depending on your viewpoint).

Just tell your mum, mums like it when you are honest with them, trust me she'll understand, start by saying to your mum - "mum, i've got some really bad news" - she will think its something terrible, then say - "my hamsters had babies" - she will be releived it wasnt something serious, trust me it will work.

Be honest with your mom, any relationship should be full of honesty. the hamsters will grow up in about a month and then you can find good homes for them.
