Do they know we were once slaves and treated as animals? Do they know how many people died for our freedom and died proving we are equal to the so called "superior" race? MLK and other equal rights leaders died for nothing???

Fear,anger,lack of vision. Yes they are aware of the slavery equation(it is used more as a reason to be angry,to feel a right of entitlement, and not to excel or do their best).They are taught civil rights and history in school/television,movies,and even in their homes. No Dr. King and others died for what they believed in.

I don't know your location but here in K.C. the problem is very serious. I, like a whole bunch of folks around here wish they had a good answer for you. I've heard a lot of theory's and plans by the city, but nothing seems to work. Wish I could help.

seems to me they want to see who can be the baddest or coolest. in the movie "white men can't jump" woody harrelson told Wesley snipes while talking that with them(black people) it was all about style not winning the game. the attraction of the drug money doesn't help either. it's a dangerous lifestyle. and as far as cool or bad, u either are or u aren't.true cool people don't have to try to be, they just r.

Well they all think it's cool to be in gangs. Some of them just fail to realize their full potential, and stay a little JD and get themselves killed for no reason. IMO, these kind have no respect for what's been done for them. It's just like people (of any race) who live in America and put it down.

Because those problmes happened so long ago that people forgot the message and forgot and don't know how it was back in the day.
