Hi Dan,

I was in a recording studio in Orlando Florida. I just so happened that we had a singer in that day called Vincent V and Pac just happened to be his favorite artist of all time. We had just finished a discussion about the dangers of playing that role or keeping it real. Either way it is dangerous. During a break we had Mtv on and there came the news. I was in shock and trying to figure out a way to tell Vincent when he got back. Well needless to say there was no more work that day. I was the one who had to make sure Vincent was seated, then told him the news and how sad I was for him. It was sad for everyone but this kid had based his whole style on Pac and though Vincent didn't have a big hit that kid could sing. So, yes I remember, it was a hot day in Florida sometimes in the afternoon when the news broke. I can't claim to be the biggest Tupac fan or even the biggest rap fan, but I respect other artist. If I didn't I wouldn't be respecting myself.

i don't know where i was when he was shot but i for damn sure know where i was when he died. i was at my high school football game(yay willowridge in h-town,tx) and we'd just finished performing at half time. and then someone in the crowd got a phone call and was told that tupac had just died. it spread like wild fire through the crowd. i was really sad. i think i may have cried. and if you can't tell i went to a prodominately black school. otherwise i don't think i'de have gotten the info so fast. the band played a tupac song in the stands.

I was right here in Las Vegas!!!! It was quite interesting because contrary to popular belief, this is not a city full of crime. We don't have people getting shot on the strip (except that night). The shooting DID begin in the MGM. I know the MGM denies this. However, I have known people working there at the time and gun shots were fired in the casino.
