Tickets in Southern California are $9.00 for adults. This week had the weakest box office in three years! I know I would go to the movies every friday if they lowered the price to $5 per ticket. Would you?

Tickets here in the UK are £7.25 for adults and £6.00 for kids. That's almost £30 for a family of four to see one film.That's without drinks, snacks etc! Our local cinema has a kids club on a Saturday morning where they show movies of a 12a certificate or under - ie movies such as Pirates of the Carribean or The Incredibles. Usually, these movies are 'brand new' ones that premiered around three to five months ago. Tickets for this club are £1,95 for the kid and an adult goes free. We attend almost every week! I also make full use of ORANGE WENESDAYS 'buy one get one free' on a Wednesday offer for adult films too - otherwise I'd never be able to afford a night out at the movies.
So, in response to your question - yes, cinema tickets are over priced and yes, I'd go far more often IF the tickets were half the current price.

i would go every friday if it was half price too.... tickets in south florida are $9.00 for adults and $7.00 if your a student

I definitely would.
Where I live, it is the same price no matter what time of day you are going, and even more in the deluxe screen!

I might... I think theaters are to crowded and nosy personally, that and all the movies that are coming out aren't really that great :^/ Snoresville...
