My roomate and I have agreed that we want an animal - something smaller than a cat but something furry. What's easy to keep hidden? Our dorm's pretty strict and we'd rather not get kicked out.

We wanted a sugar glider but they're expensive as hell. And they can't be smelly or loud! Any suggestions? (Keep in mind, we're working on a budget... no exotics, please, and we don't like birds.)

Thanks!

We're getting 2 mice named Mus (moose) and Tybalt (tybbie).

Also, we're in high school. No keggers, kthnx.

And we won't get caught 'cause we're ninjas.

Thanks for your help.

maybe hamsters? I know the cages are kind of big but it's possible to hide it because you can just put cloth over the cage then it'll just look like a small table or something.

Ginny pig! (even spell check didn't know how to spell it!) There's a guy who has a pet show, Marc Marone, discovered & produced by Martha Stewart. He sings the paises of these pets as the best in situations that other pets would be unhappy with...young children (rough handling), small space, etc. They are easy to keep & like to be held & cuddled. Very resiliant.
Or a rat....great pets, intelligent, affectionate & very sturdy. However you know that you shouldn't keep a pet where not allowed. You could end up having to get rid of it & that is a tradgedy that you would be responsible for.

Jackie & Sead.....you're supposed to be in school to learn, so I assume you will be spending a lot of time out of the dorm (not to mention all the time at keggers & the such) Is it really a good idea to try and keep some poor animal caged up in your room? It'll be difficult taking it out and caring for it, if you are always trying to hide it.

Why not just wait until you can actually care for some animal properly. I guarantee if you give it love and attention the animal will return that love to you.

Ferrets stink, 100% of the time regardless of being descented and bathed once a month. Trust me, they STINK.

Mice are a good choice if you clean their cage every day or so.

Guniea pigs are wonderful, easy to clean up after but they do get bigger.

I would say a small doggie, but it would be sort of hard to sneak it in and out!
Maybe a chinchilla. They are small and quite. Or a gunea pig. They are a little noisy when you open a refridgerator because they want a treat!

First of all, it WILL be discovered, whatever it is. You think nobody is going to tell??

Also, keep in mind that you are going to have to transport the animal in and out of the dorm on weekend trips and holidays, each time making it that much more likely that you are going to get caught.

we had a dog in are doom room but they found out and we had to give it away.

we found a dog and while we found the owners, we were allowed to have the dog in the room till the owner came for the dog.

we also had a bat in res it flew in and was hiding in the currents that took a while to get out, but he left after a while.

my point is your going to get caught.
maybe try fish.

How about a ferret? Smaller than a cat, but still cute and furry.

Hamsters are cute too.

Get a small black snake. If you are caught then you can just release him in a safe area and no harm done.
