Your points are given in (X,Y) coordinates...
Slope = Rise/run = (Y2-Y1)/(X2-X1)...
You know that the equation of the line is something like:
Y = mX+b...
where m is the slope and b is the Y-Intercept [the point where X=0, so it has coords of (0,b)]... which can be found by finding your slope, plugging it into the equation along with ONE of the sets of coordinates given and solving for b.

If we have point R(-4,-11), then the line SEGMENT PQ is the Hypotenuse of the triangle whose bottom line is RQ and whose left side is the line PR and you can use Pythagorean theorem to find the length of the Hypotenuse...

4. Divide the vertical and horizontal components into 2 parts to find the middle.... where is the middle of the line PR? middle of the line RQ?... this will help you find the middle of the Hypotenuse.

slope = -11-7/2+4
= -18/6 = -3
equation for the line = square root of ((2+4)^2 + (-11-7)^2)
solve the equation above to get the length of line
draw a graph and plot the points to find midpoint <--long method but i don't want to give u all the answers

Hi Bowlerchick

I've noticed that you've posted a few maths questions today.

If you're really struggling this much with your homework you really need to go and ask your teacher for some help - that's what we're paid for! :)

That way he or she can find out what you don't understand and help you with it.

People posting answers on here may help in the short term but you'll never really learn how to do the questions properly and by yourself and for that reason I'm not going to answer them for you.

Hope you get the help you need and good luck!

I agree that this is unfair, yet i do no longer think of they must be "given extra factors" there ought to easily be a extra equivalent distribution of ingredients. abolish "no infant left in the back of" and redistribute financial money in a manner this is equitable and honest. Our training gadget isn't a unfastened industry, this is a democracy. till then, dont whinge that toddlers in decrease-earnings aspects are "failing to realize," because of the fact it leads to slippery slope arguments.
