I don't know, but when asked what was the one thing he would wish for by a Scientologist, my husband replied, "Ignorance". It was NOT the expected answer and probably messed the Scientologist up for life when he'd argued and thought about it for long enough. LOL
Seriously though read a book called "Ishmael". (I cannot remember the author.) It presents the case that humans were never meant to be the only species on Earth to evolve intelligence. We were just the first. However we quickly learned to manipulate our environment and other species so that we made damned sure we were the only ones who made it. Very interesting...

There are different types of intelligence- the logical kind that the IQ test measures, and emotional intelligence (which you could include artistic/musical intelligence in).
Being intelligent does not necessarily make you a more moral person as intelligence can be used to try to get the advantage over weaker people. (or in the case of lawyers, to look for loopholes in the law to try to get defendents that are clearly guilty let off charges).
'Intelligent' people have sometimes been proud of their love of 'high culture' even when some popular culture is more innovative, entertaining and inspired.
Some 'intelligent' academics have spent their lives concentrating on one narrow range of things rather than educating themselves in other discplines and looking at what is happening in the modern world.
Some 'intelligent' people decided to drop two Atom Bombs, resulting in the deaths of thousands of innocent people in Japan. Maybe it ended the war early preventing other deaths but what would be the opinion of those who died?
Some intelligent people are also very natural, caring people.
Who's to say dinosaurs weren't intelligent just because they didn't have the hands to pick up a pen?

The thing with the dinosaurs was that there were many types of them so they were all coming & going for that long & evolving in the meantime. We don't know what will happen in the future but we will use our intelligence to evolve as it is this that has got us where we are now & is therefore needed to get us where we are going? Just a thought anyway

Dinosaurs is many, many different species. Man is only one kind.
There is a big differences.
If our intelligence level was just so-so, we will be busy all day long try to find food and run away from other predator.
You can see how's live with just meager intelligence by watching monkeys in the wild.
With the intelligence, you have a choice of living with civilization and technology. Or you can choose to live wildly just like other animals. At least you have a choice.

Dinosaurs, not "intelligent", about 200 million years? Homo sapiens, intelligent? think you're being a bit optimistic giving us a few million years! Have to say though, if we assumed dinosaurs extinguished due to massive impact from asteroid and earth darkened/cooled, similar situation, we might just have a better chance than them to survive, even though it could be limited numbers.

You think we will last a million years, I reckon we will be lucky if we make it to the next millennium.
Global warming, population, resources, energy, terrorism, are all putting pressure on the human race.
Like Dr Who the planet needs to regenerate but to do that the current intelligent life must be disposed of, and we should easily manage that!

Common sense is just as necessary which results in practical experience. Experience in any field can be gained by the least intelligent members of mankind - intelligence can teach theory but without practicalities, a person may well know how to do something but lacks the basic skills to perform them.........

Intelligence is great. But the inability to transform intelligence to intellect is a hindrance. It's like the difference between knowledge and wisdom.

It is bad for humans, because some don't know how to balance their intelligence.
A lot of people use only the bad side of their intelligence, with results as global warming, criminal minds, wars etc.
And on the other hand, there is solution to all those problems that our intelligence creates.
This is a good question!
