Why do movies make people cry? Doesn't reality, like poverty, make you cry?

Depends.... is at the time of the month when I am more emotional than the rest of the month? lol.. Am I in a relationship? But seriously.... movies where the animals die, being in love with someone you know you can't have, knowing that my cats are going to die someday, seeing how much meat people eat, knowing that animals are being slaughtered unneccessarily for human consumption, human and animal abuse and misstreatment.. I can go on and on..

My wife, she steels my money and crushes all hope. And once an LDS missionary told me I could be Married for all eternity if i signed up! Also when they smashed that Shelby in that show Gone in 60 seconds.

Sometimes I will cry if someone stabs me in the eye with the jagged edge of a broken whiskey bottle.

when someone close to me hurts me emotionally--sad stories about children--sick or abused---the loss of both my parents in the last 4 years--first my mom--then my dad a little over a year ago---sad songs or movies

any mistreatment of animals or children. i just cant stomach it. i cant even watch a cartoon if an animal is going to be sad or mistreated. if i watch a movie with my husband that has animals in it , i have to ask him before hand if any of them get hurt. if so, i cant watch it

when something bad happens to me... or when I picture something bad happening to me, like when I watch sad movies I tend to stand in the shoes of the person who's miserable and think what I would do if I were him or her...
