Legalize it. They deserve the right to be good parents and give children homes that otherwise wouldn't have gotten a home waiting for heterosexual couples. And just because the parents are gay, that won't turn the children gay either. That's a myth. All the people who vote illegal need to go somewhere and draing the ignorance out their brains. Being close-minded is overrated!!

legal! there are plenty of unwanted children out there and children of incompetent parents who would be far better off being raised by two loving, responsible people who honestly want them - and with adoption one should generally be able to assume that the child is wanted by the adoptive parents. what children need is stability, whether this stability is provided by a mom and a dad, a mom only, a dad only, a grandparents, an aunt and uncle, a neighbour or two moms or two dads is secondary. regarding the children of a gay adoption experiencing prejudice in school, this is not the fault of either the adoptive parents nor of the child but the fault of a prejudiced society. do away with prejudice against homosexuality and you won't have to worry about prejudice against children growing up in same sex families. and no, these kids won't turn out gay. you're born with your sexual orientation and no amount of upbringing can change that. there are, btw, plenty of gay families around in the western world as it is, for instance the children of parents who came out after the children were born and then entered a same sex relationship, children conceived by sperm donation or surrogacy for the same sex couple or children adopted privately. why not make all these families official, it would help the kids a lot.

I would say "I don't care what Adam & Steve do in their own home, since it doesn't affect me in any way." Therefore, it should be legal. People need to realize that America is the land of the FREE, the government should not tell anyone that their lifestyle is wrong unless they are doing real harm to someone else.
And don't try to tell me that Adam & Steve would harm their adopted child simply by raising him/her in a gay family. Take a look at some of the straight families out there and all the irreparable harm they do to their children.

There are so many children out there wanting loving homes and gay men and women have the cash to give children what they want and need along with love.
Love comes from the heart and that's all a child cares about. This, "oh, it would be so hard on them if the kids found out they had 2 moms or dad is bs." All they WANT is a mom or dad, so unless you people are gonna start adopting, shut up and give the kids a life.

My husband and I would both vote LEGAL.. People should have the right to be with anyone they want to in marriage....and should have all the same rights as straight people. There are so many children out there too that need two parents ...whether its two homosexuals, two lesbians, or a man and woman.
Its what we teach them and how we raise them...is what counts.

Think about it;
All of those poor unwanted children left in an orphanage or living in the streets just because someone who loves them and wants them can't have them because some other people think that they aren't presenting the "proper element" to raise a child.

There are way to many children who need love. They don't care who gives it to them.Only that they get it. If any one has love to share God bless them life is to short for name calling and finger pointing! Yes make it legal!

ILLEGAL!!! its just so fuked up ..imagine having two fathers or two mothers, then when a gay couple adopts, the kids will be like oh ok so i can be gay and it will pllay with their mind! imagine a poor innocent little girl who is 4 years old, she goes to kindergaten and all her friends have A MOTHER AND A FATHER but she is gonna be embarrssed cause she has TWO MOMS/TWO DADS OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE!

To want to share your life and love with a child is wonderful. I believe adoption by Gay couples is perfectly fine... they are gay not pedofiles.
MAKE IT LEGAL!
