I think it would be a good idea if the country of origin was under the person's name. I can't see any problem with that (although I am sure there are some who would!)

Personally, I like the mix of answers and questions we get. I like to know what the american take on things is, and I'm also interested to know what veiws and ways of doing things are friends over the pond have. For some things tho, I think its best for the questioner to state that they are in the UK or in the US.

No because the whole point of this is that Yahoo is used by many countries its Global, and if they start doing that people will get prejudice.

And anyway there are little signs that give it away, if someone is British or not.

Well, to avoid the potential problems arising from 'two countries separated by a common language' I suppose so, but give the spelling (or lack of) demonstrated by my fellow Brits so far on this esteemed forum, I don't suppose it matters much!

no we should just answer the questions to the best of our knowledge whether they are UK or US origin I like to read US answers also.

it is up to the person who is asking the question that should decide. if us or uk mention is pertinent to the question "yes" -- if not, not necessary. this is after all a small "world village" and we are the peasants...voila.
