Rabbits can learn their names, be trained to go back to their pen or cage, and other basic things. Food is the main motivator, and all reinforcement must be positive.
You might check out http://homepage.mac.com/mattocks/morfz/rabcare.html#games.
I know many people who can get their rabbit to come when they shake a bottle of papaya tablets. Other rabbits learn where the veggies are in the frig. There are even rabbits that can run agility courses, although I have never tried that.

My mini lop, Davey, loved his pine cone (a real one) for playing & chewing (you outta' try it w/your pal). He also was VERY fond of parlsey. If I had parsley in my hand I could say "Gimmie da pine cone, Davey!" and he would toss it straight out of his cage to me!My other lagomorph, Wingo, a house bunny mostly running around the house free learned to use a sorta notched ladder I made for him to get in his cage 3 ft. off the ground,,,,"Wingo go up!" Up he'd go up the ladder to be in his place for the night.

angel stands on her hind legs when i tell her to sit pretty and i give her a treat... also she comes when i call her name... rabbits are smarter than most animals (yes they are smarter than dogs) but they're not as eager to please as dogs which makes them a little more difficult to train... some rabbits are now replacing dogs in drug search operations because they are quieter and need less attention... does this help any?

lay down on their back and stay there for 1 minute. It takes time and patience to teach them that. :)
