On back of your resume staple, on each of the 4 corners, STAPLE your 8x10 black & white headshot. Break-A-Leg.

There are how to books out there about getting into acting and I've seen several that have examples of the sort of things that actors need to have along with an 8x10 glossy photo/headshot when they go to auditions.

most resumes have your name, address and a way to contact you, as well as your past work history and/or experience.
also give the reader a reason why you should get the position

“There is only one thing more painful than learning from experience and that is not learning from experience.”
-Kurt Hahn

PERSONAL MONOLOGUE:

My imagination is a blessing and a curse; it’s a boat that takes me far away to wonderful places, yet sometimes I have a hard time getting back. Without my active imagination, I’d find it really hard to think and act creatively. I thrive when I learn about topics that make my imagination work in new ways, like when I learned about the size of the universe in Science, when I researched Mayan traditions, or when I read any books where I get into the lives of the characters. Of course, visuals and facts are really important for acting like wind to the sails of my imagination, and I guess that’s why Math is so hard for me; it’s too abstract. What’s also hard for me is going from the wild seas of my imagination into the more formal world of learning. For example, I’ve really struggled to write good science investigations, even though I love where science takes my imagination, and writing the literary analysis almost ruined my experience of To Kill a Mockingbird, a book I actually liked. Making sense of and communicating my thoughts can be very challenging for me, mainly because I have to leave so much of my imagination behind.

ecosystem. I’ve been reading a lot about rainforests lately, and the diversity of life within them intrigues
me. I wonder what it would be like to sleep among monkeys, jaguars and tarantulas?!

After High School, I’m planning to go to college. I want to study Spanish and Science. My dream job
would be to work as an anthropologist in South America. Or, I’d like to open a bookstore specializing
in rare and foreign books. I haven’t decided yet, but I’m excited about the possibilities!
