You are normal dear. Has much as I don't like to admit it, I too started at a young age. I can't remember when I started masturbation. For the longest time I didn't know what I was doing. I kept it a secret from everyone for the longest time. Now that I am a lot older I know now that it is normal. So you are not the only one that started at a young age.

And if you're wanting to get birth control, you're sexually active anyway, so the OBGYN will have -no way- of knowing if it is with-partner or otherwise that causes any visible signs... (People who say that it is not normal usually have a religious reason for thinking that ANY sexual act is wrong. If it isn't against your -own- moral code, don't worry about it.)

yes its normal, besides the obgyn can't tell that you do that just by looking, unless you are doing some really odd things, which I doubt. You wouldn't feel weird going to your regular doctor for an ear infection, don't feel weird going to the obgyn for birth control and a check up, that's their job.

It's normal no worries - obgyn's seen it all before anyway. There is no way of him/her telling that you masterbate by just looking at you since your hymen could be broken by sports etc - well or sex if you are sexually active.
