G'day Chonifer,
Thank you for your question.
The answer is yes.
A chemical element, often called simply an element, is a substance that cannot be decomposed or transformed into other chemical substances by ordinary chemical processes. All matter fundamentally consists of these elements and as of 2006, 116 unique elements have been discovered or artificially created. The smallest particle of such an element is an atom, which consists of electrons centered about a nucleus of protons and neutrons.
I have attached sources for your reference.
Regards

An element is by definition a pure substance, since all atoms of an element are the same (technically, there are isotopes which have the same atomic number but different atomic weights, but that is splitting hairs in this discussion). If something is elemental, there is nothing else but that element involved.

There's no such thing as a "pure" substance. In any element sample there will be trace amounts of various other elements simply because the seperation of all atomic particles cannot be successfully achieved. The elements themselves can also be found in different forms. Various Radioactive isotopes exsist for many elements (whereby the number of neutrons is uneven compared to the "normal" form of the element, causing random decay of the particle releasing it's composite parts producing radiation). There are also several elements which have been produced artificially in labs.

Yes. Everything on the Periodic Table is an individual, pure substance.

yes, anything that only contains one type of atom or molecule is a pure substance. perfectly clean water is an example of a pure substance as well.

Yes, though as soon as elements bond to become compounds, etc., they are no longer pure substances.

Hi. Many elements are combinations of different isotopes, so I don't know it a mixture of, say, carbon 16 and carbon 14 would be considered "pure". GE made a diamond that was harder than natural diamonds by eliminating all isotopes except C 16. Does that make then "purer". Don't know.
