Absolutely not!!! However, do consider your finances -- do you have a spouse/children to support who rely on you? Do you currently owe money for student loans?

There are older people in your community who start all over with a new career when they're in their 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s plus!

Explore your new choice of career and your reasons for wanting to make a change -- volunteer for a few days if possible so you get a better idea about your new chosen profession -- sometimes it is not always what it seems.

If you are looking to be a professional student (someone who gets degree after degree after degree, but very few jobs and no career), if you can afford it -- it is your life unless others rely on you -- then you need to keep them in mind.

You are never too old. I work with 40-50 year old people that go back to school and switch careers.

Your idea is a great one! I left my second career at age 28, and got my masters degree at age 30. The first year I made 5x what I was making on my previous job. Job satisfaction took a few more years, but was great.

The most fun years I had in school were the two years I was in graduate school - it is also easier to get in to a good school if you have few years experience. go for it.

No, my mom went to law school at 40 after being a nurse for a long time. She practiced law for awhile, decided she liked being a nurse better, and went back to that. 27 is young in the working world

The average person born after 1975 will change their career 8 times and go back to school 3 times due to ever changing economies and environments.

GO FOR IT!!!!!

I don't think 27 is too old to switch carerrs.
I think you still can get the chances on it.
it's OK to go back to school, too.
give yourself some chances to make a new life :)

Absolute not. My wife will be 40 and has just went back to school to finish her masters and change careers. My best friend will also be 40...and he's gone back to school to be a nurse.

Not at all!!! You have to be happy doing what you do. So if that means going back to school to better yourself for a different career, then go for it!! You gotta live your life for yourself:)

No. I went back to school for five years (PhD) at age 29. I guess it depends on what your life/career goals are.

Not at all. Just think about how many more years you'll be stuck in a profession you don't enjoy. Go ahead and switch.
