To make a long story short, I just got out of a two year relationship with a married man. He lied to me all along and told me he was seperated and in the middle of a nasty divorce... I found out he was lying because I was reading the paper and happen to look at the recent births section, and he and his wife just had a baby. Ironically he broke up with me when I questioned him about why he lied to me. We've been apart for a month now.... but I'm still madly in love with him... and I think about him every second of every day. I need to get him out of my mind, and I need some impowering songs to do it. Please help me out, cause I'm just lost and depressed, and I have got to get through this. Thank you.

To start with....the ULTIMATE empowerment song of all...

"I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor

"In the Air Tonight"- Phil Collins

" Walk Away" - Kelly Clarkson

" Call Me When You're Sober" - Evanescence.

"Crazy" - Patsy Cline

"Hit Me With Your Best Shot" Pat Benatar

I like the song that someone up there^^^^^^ chose... "Wrong Again" by Martina McBride. Awesome song to help get over things. That along with I will survive became my anthem songs during my divorce.

Honey I have been there, done that. I had close to the same thing that happened to you, except his wife called me. You dont need a sad, mushy song to get over him. You need to get angry!!!! Thats how I got over mine. Why should you be sitting at home crying all the time? Why make yourself sad? Piss on that!!! What you need to do is get out of the house and spend time with your girlfriends and vent out to them. Lovers come and go but friends are for life. Get angry!! You will never do this again, I know but move on with your life and show him and any man that you dont need them. Most men want a woman with confidence. If you think music will help you, then I would listen to heavy metal or hard rock...something that will get your heart pumping and your mind racing. Get angry, not sad sweetie. Find something to do that you enjoy and before you know it, you will be over him. Just dont beat yourself up. He obviously didnt love you. Why love someone who doesnt even respect you? He was nothing but lies, lies, lies!! Once you get angry and get harder and stronger....you will feel so much better honey. But dont cry and let him get to you. You are your own strenghth. Dont let ANYBODY stomp on your heart. Good luck.

I went through a divorce after a 14 year marriage. Linkin Park Meteora was my therapy. The songs and lyrics really empowered me. Good luck

You poor honey. This is just one of the many problems you are going to have with men. they are uncaring, non-thinkers that have no problems with cheating on their spouses. I feel more sorry for the poor wife that just had a baby with this fink.
